Autopay terms

Weekly meal prep billing, in plain words. Version 2026-10-15.

1. The one rule

Your card is charged for a week only after you submit a menu for that week. A week with no menu submitted is skipped: nothing is cooked and nothing is charged. We never charge a card for a week you did not pick meals for.

2. When the charge happens

Each weekly menu has a lock time, normally Thursday at 10:00 pm Chicago time (a Thursday-delivery week locks Sunday at 10:00 pm; the menu page shows the time for your week). At the lock, the menu you submitted becomes the week we cook, and your card on file is charged for it. You get a receipt by email.

Until the lock you can change your picks, skip the week, change your card, or turn autopay off, as often as you like, at no cost. After the lock the week is in the kitchen and the charge stands.

3. What the charge is

The amount is shown on the menu page as you pick, and it is the same arithmetic every week:

Lunches, dinners, encores and custom requests count as meals. Private dinners and guest nights are billed under their own agreement, not here.

The macro plan. If you choose the macro plan, your weekly chef fee is the macro plan fee, and the groceries are the macro plan's flat amount; both are on your consultation page and your menu page. It starts with the first menu made after we confirm your targets, never with a week whose menu was already out. You can go back to the standard plan by telling us; it applies from your next menu.

4. If the card cannot be charged

If the card is declined, expired, or the bank wants a step we cannot take for you, we email you a secure payment link at the lock for the same amount. The link is due ten hours after the lock (8:00 am Friday for a Thursday lock). If it is unpaid by then, the week is skipped and nothing is owed. The next menu arrives Monday as usual.

5. Autopay off, or no card

You can save a card without autopay, or keep no card at all. Either way, a week you submit a menu for gets a payment link at the lock, with the same ten-hour deadline. Unpaid by the deadline, the week is skipped. Our cook day cannot wait, so a week that is not paid by the deadline is not cooked.

6. Skipping a week

Use "Skip this week" on the menu page any time before the lock, or simply do not submit a menu. A skipped week costs nothing. You can come back in until the lock.

7. Your card and your data

Card details are entered on a form served by Stripe and stored by Stripe. We never see or keep the card number; we keep only the card brand, the last four digits and the expiry so you can recognise it. You can replace or remove the card on your card page at any time. Removing it means your weeks get a payment link at the lock instead.

When you save a card you accept these terms; we record the date, the version of the terms and the network address the acceptance came from.

8. Refunds and mistakes

If we make a mistake with a week, tell us and we put it right: a refund to the card, a credit on the next week, or a replacement, whichever fits. Refunds go back to the card that paid. Reply to any receipt email or write to oliver@culinaryforroyalty.com.

9. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the version date at the top changes and we let you know by email before the change applies to a charge. Continuing to submit menus after that is acceptance of the new version.
