Culinary for Royalty ("we", "us") is a private chef, private dining and meal prep business based in Orland Park, Illinois. This policy covers our website, culinaryforroyalty.com, and the services we provide. Our online shop at shop.culinaryforroyalty.com runs on Shopify and its checkout is also covered by Shopify's own privacy policy.
2. What we collect
What you give us
Contact details: your name, email, phone number and address.
Household and delivery details: how many people you cook for, delivery address and instructions.
Food details: allergies, dietary needs, likes and dislikes, so we can cook safely for you.
Macro plan details: if you choose the macro plan, your goal, age, height, weight, activity level and calorie and macro targets, so your portions can be sized to them. We use them only to cook for you.
Orders and feedback: the menus you pick, the weeks you order or skip, your ratings and survey answers, and messages you send us.
Payment: cards are entered on a form run by Stripe and stored by Stripe. We never see or keep your full card number; we keep only the card brand, the last four digits and the expiry.
What the website collects on its own
The pages you visit, the ad or link that brought you here, your browser and device type, and your IP address. This comes from our hosting provider and from the ad cookies described in section 5.
3. How we use it
To plan, cook and deliver your meals and events, and to bill you for them.
To keep you safe: your allergies and dietary needs go to the chef cooking your food and on your meal labels.
To send you what you asked for: menus, confirmations, reminders, receipts and replies, by email and sometimes by text.
To improve our menus and service from your ratings and feedback.
To see which of our ads and posts bring people to us, so we spend less on ads that do not work (section 5).
To keep records the law requires, such as tax records.
We do not sell your personal information. We never share your allergies, diet, body measurements or other health details with an advertising company.
4. Who helps us run the service
Like most small businesses, we use outside services to run ours. Each one gets only what it needs to do its job for us:
Our chefs: the independent chefs who cook for you see your name, address, menu, allergies and household notes.
Website and database: Netlify (hosting) and Supabase (our database).
Payments: Stripe.
Email and text messages: Resend (email) and Twilio (text messages).
Maps: Google Maps, to plan delivery routes from your address.
AI tools: AI services (such as Anthropic and OpenAI) that help us plan menus and run our kitchen operations. They process information on our behalf to give us the answer we asked for.
Internal messaging: our team gets order and kitchen alerts on our own phones (by Telegram, text or email), which can include your first name and order details.
Advertising measurement: Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), as described in section 5.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of selling or merging the business, in which case this policy would still apply to what we hold about you.
5. Cookies and ads
Our site uses a few cookies and similar tools. Some are needed for the site to work. Others tell us which ads brought you here:
Name
What it does
cfr-consent-v1
Remembers your privacy choice. Stored in your browser only.
Google Ads tag
Lets Google tell us when someone who clicked our ad signs up, and lets us show our ads again to people who visited. Cookies such as _gcl_au, kept up to 90 days.
Meta pixel
Does the same for Facebook and Instagram ads. Cookies _fbp and _fbc, kept up to 90 days.
Stripe
On payment pages only, to process payments and prevent fraud.
Sign-in
Keeps you signed in to your client portal, and our staff signed in to their tools.
When you join our waitlist, start as a client or pay a deposit, we tell Google and Meta that it happened, so they can tell us which ad worked. With Meta we may include your email and phone number in scrambled (hashed) form so they can match it to an ad click; they do not get your name, address, allergies or anything you wrote in a form. Some US state laws call this "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out of it at any time (section 6).
Our pages also load fonts and icons from Google Fonts, Font Awesome and Cloudflare, which see your IP address when your browser fetches them. They do not set ad cookies.
6. Your choices
Opt out of ad cookies: use the button below or the "Privacy choices" link in our footer. Once you opt out, our site stops loading the Meta pixel, tells Google's tag not to use ad cookies, and stops telling Google and Meta about your sign-ups. Your choice is kept in your browser, so if you clear your browser data or use another device, opt out there again.
Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out automatically.
Emails and texts: to stop marketing emails, reply "unsubscribe" to any of them or email us, and we will take you off within 10 business days. To stop texts, reply STOP. Messages about an order you placed may still be sent.
7. See, fix or delete your information
Email us at the address below to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We will reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm it is really you first. We keep some records even after a deletion request when the law requires it (payment and tax records, for example) or to finish an order already in progress. Using these rights never changes your price or the care we put into your food.
8. How long we keep it, and how we protect it
We keep your information while you are a client and for as long as we reasonably need it afterwards, including for tax and accounting records. We use encrypted connections, limit access to the people who need it to cook for you or run the business, and only work with providers that protect data. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach ever affects your information we will tell you as the law requires.
9. Children
Our website is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. A parent who books for a household may tell us about a child's allergies or diet so we can cook safely; we use that only to cook. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters, such as a new way we use your information, we will also say so on our website or by email before it applies.
